Johnson Development Services (JDS) was founded in Houston in 2001, the result of a need we identified in the development industry. We recognized that many builders, lenders and developers did not have their own construction and development departments. What's more, these groups did not need or want to create these departments, because they were not part of their core business. Drawing on decades' worth of experience in the development industry, Johnson's principals developed a business model that would provide construction and development services to clients. Johnson Development Services was created, allowing clients to continue to focus on their core business while JDS focused on the client's development project. After thirty years, Johnson's principals are still working with many of the same industry leaders we've worked with from the beginning. These decades of experience and positive working relationships enable Johnson to bring the very best construction and development people to work on our clients' projects. Johnson is a lean and agile company because we are able to call upon the principals in the industry and bring them in to specific projects, thus maximizing their efficiency, our efficiency, and our clients' efficiency.
